This has certainly been a wild year for Brooke and I.  It started off with both her and I being sick on New Year's Eve 2012 and going to bed before midnight.  As first month of 2013 progressed and the holidays were over we had gotten back into a routine of work and school since at the time both of us where in graduate school and Brooke had just transferred to the CUNY Graduate center.  

The wonderful drawing was done by none other than my lovely wife.  She drew it on a card that she gave to me on our one year anniversary and at that time she was six months pregnant and I was two weeks post op after having had ACL reconstruction.  Looking back at this image made me think about a few things about marriage, not that I am at all the authority on marriage nor do I have years of experience and wisdom under my belt, but I wanted to share what I've learned in the last year for anyone who would care to read. 

So it's been a while since I've written a post, Brooke has written the last three I think and I've enjoyed reading what she has to say about Aly and looking at all the pictures of her crafts that I've seen her make these past few weeks.  But this post is more about what's been going on in our lives the last 2 weeks or so.  Firstly I had ACL surgery last Friday, August 16th.
